Kids Ministry

Our Kids Ministry desires to lead children to love God,

love people, and shine their light in the world all while

connecting with God, growing in their faith, and serving others.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Mill Creek provides a nurturing Nursery for infants who are not yet walking,

and as they take their first steps, they seamlessly transition to our Toddler Nursery.


Sunday School classes begin at 9:45 AM every Sunday, designed to accommodate all ages and abilities.


Extended Worship Sessions for Preschoolers occur during the worship hour on Sundays at 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

Each session ensures that children receive a Biblical message, along with a related activity or craft, and a tasty snack.


WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

Mini & Mighty Mill Creek Explorers meet every Wednesday from mid-August to May, following the Botetourt County School System schedule.

If school is canceled, activities are canceled too. Children are picked up from the Childcare Center at 5:30 PM, with others joining for a brief movie.

Dinner is served at 6 PM, featuring hotdogs, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, chips, water and dessert. We prioritize allergies by serving

the same meal weekly. Activities include rotations between Bible Study, Missions, and Crafts, with pickups at 7:30 PM.


Every year, we organize a "mission trip" to reach out to our neighbors, providing our children with the chance to apply

what they've learned during our Wednesday night mission segment, while also becoming the hands and feet of Jesus.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Vacation Bible School is held during the summer. Each year there is a special theme and our desire is to

introduce children to the love of Jesus, nurture their faith as well as use it for an outreach tool.


Our annual Easter Egg Hunt begins with our Pastor sharing the Gospel through Resurrection Eggs.

The children not only discover the true meaning of Easter but also enjoy the excitement of searching for filled Easter Eggs.


In the fall, we host a Trunk or Treat event where we carve a pumpkin during Bible Study as a Gospel lesson. Choosing a pumpkin

parallels God's selection of individuals. As we clean it, we illustrate how Jesus cleanses our hearts from sin. Carving a face symbolizes sharing

Jesus' message. Finally, placing a candle inside represents how God fills us with the Holy Spirit, urging us to shine our light in a dark world.

SAFETY & SECURITY

We prioritize the safety of every child with utmost seriousness. All our staff and volunteers undergo thorough background checks.

Parents fill out a Permission Form for their child, detailing any allergies or special needs they may have, allowing us to provide the best

possible accommodations. Our church is equipped with security cameras and is supported by a dedicated security team.
